Wesley Wong Kok Leong, a multi-instrumentalist Malaysian composer and orchestrator, is known for large orchestral and choral compositions and arrangements featuring orchestral contemporary sound.
Wesley has worked with several top composers from all over the world, such as Day Tai (Hong Kong), Elliot Leung (Hong Kong), Ros Gilman (United Kingdom), Ryan Richko (United States), Stefano Sacchi (Spain), etc. The film “The Goldfinger” that Wesley worked with Day was nominated for the best score in the 42nd Hong Kong Film Awards.
Wesley has studied with composers such as Darren Fung, Milton Nelson, Norman Ludwin, Cody Matthew Johnson, Penka Kouneva and others. He also participated in prestigious, competitive programs including the Hollywood Music Workshop, Los Angeles Film Conducting Intensive, Film Scoring Summer Program in Bulgaria, Fusion Film Scoring & GEMS Scoring in Spain.
His music has been frequently performed in Malaysia, while other compositions have been recorded by BNR Radio Varna, Cue Productions in Greece and Smecky Music Studio.
Currently, Wesley is based in Singapore working as a freelance composer, orchestrator and music copyist.
